devilfish Has Unveiled New Identity for STUDIOCANAL

London-based creative agency devilfish has just launched a full rebrand for the film production studio STUDIOCANAL, which went gone live at Venice Film Festival at the premiere screening of Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy.

The rebrand entails the creation of the production company’s first moving logo, in the vein of MGM’s lion and 20th Century Fox’s searchlights.

To create the timeless, iconic identity STUDIOCANAL were looking for, devilfish hailed back to old-school use of glass, light and camera for a logo that truly conjures up the magic of cinema.

Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy, by Swedish director Tomas Alfredson, stars Colin Firth and Gary Oldman, and features a score by Alexandre Desplat (Girl with a Pearl Earring, The King’s Speech). Following the Venice Film Festival premiere, it will come to London next week and to France and Germany in October.

The rebrand also sees the studio encompass its two other territories, Optimum in the UK and Kinowelt in Germany, under one name for the first time.
