Sotheby’s announced an addition to the 21 May wine auction in Hong Kong. A vertical of Dom Pérignon Rosé Œnotheque, a world première release from the reserve cellar of Dom Pérignon, never commercially released before, will be included in the sale, in addition to exclusive lots of Château Cheval Blanc and Château d’Yquem.
The 30-bottle lot of Dom Pérignon Œnotheque consists of bottles and magnums from 1966, 1978, 1982, 1985, 1988 and 1990 and is expected to fetch HK$750,000-1,000,000 /US$95,000-130,000.
Serena Sutcliffe, MW, Worldwide Head of Wine at Sotheby’s said, “We are particularly thrilled that the worldwide launch of Dom Pérignon Rosé Œnotheque should be with Sotheby’s in Hong Kong. This is a very exciting moment since these extraordinary Champagnes have never before been released and they come direct from the cellars in Epernay. It is an amazing experience to drink these vintages and to watch them flower in your glass.”
“In Dom Pérignon Rosé Œnotheque we find a magnified Dom Pérignon style – complex, intense, vibrant, tactile, sensual – and a metamorphosis of the Rosé, an even sharper and edgier paradox. It is a time travel to where everything is beauty, luxury, calm and voluptuousness,” says Richard Geoffroy, Chef de Cave Dom Pérignon.
