Yesterday, August 9, Dr Pepper Snapple Group announced the launch of a new corporate philanthropy program, ACTION Nation. The program will focus giving and volunteer efforts in support of DPS’s mission to foster physically active, engaged and sustainable communities.
ACTION Nation focuses on four key areas: Fit and active lifestyles, Environmental initiatives, Community celebrations, and Emergency relief.
«ACTION is also about giving back to our communities. All across North America, DPS employees are taking action to improve the communities in which we live and work. By 2015, we plan to contribute a total of 100,000 volunteer hours and attain an annual giving level of $10 million in charitable cash donations, with the majority of support focused on fit and active lifestyles, environmental initiatives, community celebrations and emergency relief,» said Tina Barry, senior vice president, corporate affairs.
In support of the ACTION Nation launch, DPS has also announced new processes and requirements for sponsorship and donation requests. For giving guidelines and to access the request form, visit www.actionnation.com.
