Durex UK has launched an extension of its “Intensely close” campaign to promote the “Ultra Thin Feel” condoms on account of Valentine’s Day. To sync with the romantic atmosphere of the holiday, the brand has released two spots, which are dedicated to having some most intimate moments together.
Both of the ads by TMW appeared on the brand’s YouTube page on February 14. The first spot, “Durex Car Parking Climax,” features a young couple, who are reaching pleasure height in a car, while parking it in a very tight parking space. In the video, a stick shift in the car plays an important role, too—the couple uses it to fit the vehicle between two other cars, and these moves symbolize the escalating pleasure of getting closer.
In the second spot, “Durex ECG,” viewers see all the action on the monitor of the electrocardiogram machine. An animated part of the spot showcases silhouettes of a man and a women getting pleasure in different sexual positions. The characters are not real—they are created of two heart rate lines of people, who are actually having sex on a couch near the machine. “The closer we get, the more our hearts race,” says the spot in the end, when the happy couple throws the machine down when going into ecstasies of love.
Recently, Durex has unveiled its “SOS Condom” service, which secretly delivers condoms as pizzas (or in other disguised ways). The order can be made via an iPhone app. Currently, the service is available in Dubai and the brand is now encourages consumers to vote, which other cities SOS Condom should arrive to.
