Evian Will Offer Parisians One-Button Push Delivery

Evian has launched a new campaign targeting exceptionally consumers from Paris and its suburbs. The premium quality water brand offers people a new online delivery service. The centerpiece is a new digital device in shape of a fridge magnet that makes it possible to order water delivery by pushing a single button.

Evian promotes the service at a dedicated website at evianchezvous.com that is only available in Paris, which is designed to target single-family homes and small businesses, says Ad Age. Using the Smart Drop device that will be sold starting the next year, consumers will be able to buy other Danone Water products such as Badoit or Volvic water. The device allows choosing the frequency of shipments and number of bottles delivered. If the purchase starts at 15 euro, the delivery is free.

The Smart Drop is WiFi-enabled magnet and features a LED display and a mobile app will be rolled out later, first in Paris and France and later globally. Evian is rolling out the e-commerce program in Paris after nearly two years of tests that proved the necessity of such service. The company will also promote its product at the nation’s biggest supermarkets, such as Monoprix and Carrefour.

Evian ordered the development of the technology to a Parisian digital firm Joshfire, while the design was created by BETC, a firm behind the popular ‘Live Young’ campaign.

Frederic Guichard, Marketing Director at Danone Waters France, told Ad Age the Smart Drop device is  a continuation of the brand’s history of innovating useful applications whether it be a handle on packaging to help consumers carry water or compressing water bottles to help consumers recycle.
