Six of eight talented modern artists from different parts of the world have finished creating Glenfiddich-inspired masterpieces, which are now being exhibited to the public at the Glenfiddich Distillery in Dufftown from September 1st to September 16th as part of the annual brand’s «Artists in Residence» programme.

The eleventh Glenfiddich art expo will see beautifully crafted textile creations by Juhikadevi Bhanjdeo (India), Wu Tung Lung’s (Taiwan) paintings inspired by Dufftown’s night sky, Jillian McDonald’s (Canada) film as well as a selection of drawings by American Daniel Zalkus, new additions to the series of window pictures being developed by London based print worker Jack Newling and dream-based works by Dongwan Kook from Korea.
London-based artist Carly Bateup and Chinese painter Yuan Yuan, who are still working at the distillery and joined the project later in the summer, will also showcase their art pieces in the Gallery.
Andy Fairgrieve, curator for Glenfiddich’s artists in residence programme, said: «Those who attended our first exhibition in July will hopefully be interested to see how the themes from some of the work shown then have been developed by the artists in this second exhibition. We are also presenting pieces by artists who joined the residency programme later in the summer, and are therefore showing work in our gallery for the first time.»
The exhibition is free the attend. Learn more about each artist on Glenfiddich FB page.
