Google Launches Music Beta Cloud Player

Competitors, move over… Google’s got its hands on music and announced the soft launch of its Google beta cloud player offering enhanced functionality in comparison to other music players. With Google Music, which is now undergoing its beta-testing in the U.S., a user may upload music to user-created Google library and listen to it further from any computer or Android device.

Playlists created in the cloud will automatically sync to devices owned by a user. Once a playlist has been played using the device, these songs will further be available even if the user is offline, so there is no use connecting to the Internet.

Moreover, Google Music offers enhanced functions for selecting music and creating playlists. You may select music by the specific artist, album or playlist. If you have no time for creating a new playlist, just pick a song that matches your mood, and let Google Music do the rest of work due to ‘Instant Play’ function. Google assures its player will «automatically build new playlists of songs from your collection that go great together» without providing any details on the principle of music selection.

Google Music is in its beta-test period now. It is available to US residents on the invitation basis.

The main competitor advatage Google Music when compared to its competitors, is an ability for a user to create music library by uploading the music of one’s choice, which is usually scattered among a variety of devices including personal laptop, office PC and a mobile phone. From now on, we can bring it together and keep it neatly organized Google style in one place.
