Heineken Experience Gets Thea Award

The Heineken Experience, which is one of the most popular places in Amsterdam, was rated as the best one in the field of Brand Experience and got the Thea Award for Outstanding Achievement from the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA). It was announced on November 17 at the IAAPA tradeshow in Las Vegas, USA.

Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) is an international organization, which represents the world’s leading creators, developers, designers and producers of compelling places and experiences. It awards various companies, restaurants theme parks, museums, etc. that bring a higher level of visitor experiences worldwide. This year the organization awarded Heineken for its outstanding Heineken Brewery in Amsterdam, which is a recognized national monument listed in the European Route of Industrial Heritage. The awards will be handed four months later, at the 16th annual Thea Awards Gala in California, which will be arranged on 6 March 2010.

The Brewery turned into the Heineken Experience centre reopened in December 2008, and provides the visitors with a deep insight into the company’s history, the brewing process and gives an opportunity to taste the high-rated beer at its special bars. The tourists from around the world can learn a lot of interesting facts about the brand and know the products it makes much better. More than 350.000 people come to the exciting Heineken Experience annually.
