SABMiller takes the water supply problem seriously and partners with WWF to find the way out of the tough ecological situation. On November 18 the huge wine brand and the well-known wildlife fund launched the Water Futures partnership to solve the issue of water shortage in a number of countries, which definitely need support in this area.

Together they will use the experience gained by SABMiller and WWF in Colombia, Honduras and El Salvador for making a thorough analysis of the risks posed by the predicted water stress in South Africa, Peru, Tanzania, and Ukraine and develop innovative approaches for minimizing the possible risks. The partnership is going to inspire the counties to take big step for securing good quality, adequate cost and availability of fresh water. SABMiller and WWF will cooperate with governments, local businesses, and communities to share their use-proven strategies.

Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ), a German agency for technical cooperation acting on behalf of the Federal German Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development, has also signed up to this water campaign. It is of vital necessity for the NGOs, governments, and businesses of all countries to join the club as the ecological issue can be tackled only in global partnership.
