Heineken Joins Beverage Industry Environmental Roundtable

Heineken has joined the Beverage Industry Environmental Roundtable (BIER), a technical coalition of leading global beverage companies working together to advance the standing of the beverage industry in the realm of environmental stewardship.

As Heineken has embraced a new approach for a new decade, formulated in its ‘Brewing a Better Future’ ambition, BIER offers Heineken an excellent opportunity to directly work with industry peers and collectively enhance the advancement of environmental sustainability efforts across the industry,” states Herman van de Bergh, Heineken Program Manager Global Energy & Water Program.

Heineken owns more than 140 breweries in more than 70 countries around the world and its international portfolio includes more than 200 regional, local and specialty brands, including Amstel, Primus, Star, Foster’s, Strongbow, Kingfisher and Ochota.

We are pleased to welcome Heineken to BIER,” says Tod Christenson, BIER Director. “Heineken’s demonstrated commitment to sustainability and presence on the Roundtable further solidifies BIER’s position as the leading voice for environmental stewardship in the beverage industry.”
