The bottle, which started to sell on May 1, is only available for sale in Jamaica through the official distributor of the Hennessy brand, J. Wray and Nephew Limited.

Geoffrey Bouilly, Moët Hennessy marketing manager for the Caribbean said, «Jamaicans have been very loyal to the Hennessy brand, particularly Hennessy VS, and so the Moët Hennessy Group created a very special limited edition bottle exclusively for Jamaica as a symbol of their appreciation and respect for the Jamaican people on the achievement of this historic milestone in the country’s history.»

The liquid inside of the limited edition Hennessy VS bottle remained the same high quality, according to Bouilly. In addition, Hennessy Jamaica and J. Wray & Nephew Limited ran a bartender competition to find the best Hennessy Jamaica 50 official cocktail.

Hennessy cognac is made with local ingredients from Jamaica, which add the cognac its special taste and aroma.

Recently, Hennessy rolled out a new campaign in the US asking «what’s your wild rabbit?»
