The famous Swedish fashion retailer H&M, which has stores all around the globe, can makes of fashion bloggers come true. To prove it, the company has collaborated with fashion blogger since 2007 Elin Kling, who previewed the autumn/winter 2010 collections on H&M’s website. This is the first-ever H&M’s partnership of this kind, and it gives hope to others who dream of stepping out of digital world of blogs and have his or her designs turned into real apparel ‘of cloth and buttons.’
The line, which is a pure experiment for the reatiler, will debut on February 3 in 10 of the chain’s Sweden stores—those, who live somewhere else and will not have an opportunity to see the line with their own eyes, can have a sneak peek of the collection. It includes nine both minimalistic and bohemian fashion pieces and two accessories, which are created in the exquisite style of the blogger and perfectly reflect her personality. Ten percent of sales will be donated to UNICEF, so this collaboration is charitable as well. H&M has previously teamed up with A-list designer brands and designers including Stella McCartney, Lanvin, Karl Lagerfeld and Matthew Williamson among others.
«To be the first one to make this kind of collaboration with H&M feels incredibly flattering and fun. It has been very inspiring to be able to work so closely with the design team at H&M, and I’m incredibly happy with the results. The collection is minimalistic and raw, but with bohemian elements, something that reflects my personal style well,» commented the lucky blogger on her website.
