Intel Has Tempted Consumers with Free Ultrabooks

As part of its Ultrabook ProjectIntel has been recently promoting the Ultrabooks in a global campaign titled ‘The Temptations’ in which people were challenged to do stupid and non-rational things in public to win an Intel Ultrabook.

In various countries Intel set different tasks, depending on the cultural background and traditions of he market. The video spots that showcase what was going on are called  ‘The powerful temptation’, ‘The determined temptation’, ‘The Persuasive temptation’ etc.

In Thailand, which is the home of Muay Thai kickboxing, people were encouraged to punch a pad to unlock the notebook. In Australia, Sydney consumers had to search for the Ultrabooks buried in the sand and had people search for them, while in Melbourne, people were tasked to persuade passers-by to help lift them up on a seesaw to grab a key. Indonesians were obliged to be as excited and daring as they could to get an Utrabook.

Viral marketing works. While a dozen of consumers had fun and grabbed their Ultrabooks, others keep on watching the silly tricks online keeping in mind the new Intel-powered ultra thin laptops. All videos can be watched on Intel’s YouTube channel.
