Jameson Whisky Launched a Scriptwriting Contest

Jameson whisky continues its cinema campaign with the launch of another contest for amateurs. The alcohol brand is encouraging people who believe in their scriptwriting abilities to submit a 200-word synopsis of their 3-minute film idea on the website. The submission period runs from October 19, 2009 through March 28, 2010.

In March the scripts will be shortlisted by the jury and posted on the site. In April 6 finalists will be announced and invited to attend a workshop. There they will work with the group of professionals, and at last will write the screenplays on the basis of their idea.

In the long run, the brand is to select only three screenplays with an unexpected ending, which will later be shoot and presented at a World Premiere by mid-summer. The company has allocated $20,000 for each script to be developed and introduced to the wide audience.
