Leo Burnett has devised a campaign to support The Renaissance Photography Prize, a competition which raises money for charity to help younger women with breast cancer.
A number of top photographers including Nadav Kander, Uli Weber, Dianna Scheunemann, Perou, Rankin, Martin Parr, Robert Wilson and Chris Floyd are posting their photos and stories via their own Twitter and Facebook feeds to raise awareness of the contest.
The campaign focuses on the message: “If it’s worth taking, it’s worth entering.” The photographers will upload posts revealing how they managed to get their celebrated shots using the hashtag #worthsharing. By clicking on the posts users can see the full story. They can also visit a dedicated website to see all contributors and the competition website to enter and submit their own photos till April 28.
The celebrated photographers tell the stories behind their work in a simple but captivating way. For example, Perou shares his experience of shooting provocative rock star Courtney Love, while Rankin describes his photo session with the Queen to commemorate her Golden Jubilee.
The fees for photographs submitted to The Renaissance Photography Prize competition all go to The Lavender Trust at Breast Cancer Care.
