Levi’s Rolls Out Ex-Girlfriend’s Jeans, Warns They Are Tight

Where do the modern-day guys determined to make a statement go? Interestingly, some of them may seek new ideas in their girlfriend’s wardrobe or in a women’s section of the shop just to pick a pair of ultra-tight jeans that will make them look like a rock-n-roll star.

Seems like Levi’s has spotted this trend and rolled out a new model ironically called Ex-Girlfriend Jeans referring to very tight jeans that girls wear to outline their curves  (as well as the ‘tight’ character of the ex-girlfriend—since the tag reads «THESE JEANS ARE TIGHT»). The model is available at the price of $69.50.

Produced based on the women’s design and fabrics, Ex-Girlfriend’s Jeans feature a higher waistline and more spacious cut. They’re made of stetchy fabrics to ensure men feel comfortable.

«We also left a little more room through the hip and thigh, so the jean wasn’t saran-wrap tight.  It’s not a corset for men. The fit is masculine and man-appropriate«, says Rebecca Youngs, Associate Editor, LS&Co in her post in Official Levi’s Blog dedicated to the launch of the new model.

More than that, Levi’s assures that the jeans are produced in course of the sustainability program aimed at reducing water consumption in the production process.

The release of such an extraordinary model, especially by a brand like Levi’s could not go unnoticed. Though jeans attained a success with male rockstar wannabes and made some of the girls pop into the Levi’s male section, there have been a great deal of negative feedback and critical reviews from the people with more orthodox attitude towards male fashion. Some of them even joined their efforts and are calling to «End the Levi’s Ex-Girlfriend Jean!» by filing the petition against this jeans model and starting campaigns in Facebook and Twitter.
