Even best cars have a dark side. To prove it the premium compact hybrid car, which also proves to be sporty and luxury, is showing its «Dark Side Of Green«. The Lexus CT 200h model, which will be launched in early 2011, will appear in a new promotional short movie slated for release on May 13. The video features Tony «The Driver» portrayed by American actor Norman Reedus, who is on a very important mission.  

The Dark Ride movie concept was developed by New York shop named Skinny that is owned by MDC Partners. The 12-minute long clip is going to be interactive and will provide visitors of the website with an opportunity become a co-pilot of the totally insane driver during a crazy ride in the car. The voiceover in the trailer says: “The opposition tried to steal our hybrid technology… you must make all the decisions and get the car to Los Angeles in one piece.”

With this movie Lexus wants the users to feel as if they “are sitting shotgun next to Tony in this prototype. It’s trying to get people to experience the vehicle months before it exists or before the test drives,” said Liron Reznik, co-chief creative officer at Skinny with Jonas Hallberg. The new model is developed for active people of new generation, who look for green options.
