New “Henkel Innovation Challenge” Student Competition Kicks off

Henkel has announced the start of the fourth “Henkel Innovation Challenge” (HIC) international student competition. An exclusive round-the-world trip awaits the winners. And the three best teams will also be invited to the Henkel headquarters in Düsseldorf where they will get an opportunity to personally meet Henkel CEO Kasper Rorsted. Moreover, the most talented, creative and ambitious competitors from Russia will have an opportunity to get a trainee job at the company’s Moscow office with further employment perspective.

The company is seeking talented individuals of all disciplines wishing to put their creativity and expertise to the test and compare their abilities on an international scale. Student from all institutions of higher learning having good knowledge of English are welcome to participate in the annual “Henkel Innovation Challenge IV” international student competition.

To take part in the competition, student teams of two or three should register their participation at www.henkelchallenge.com and present their creative idea for making an innovative product from the fields of cosmetics/toiletries or laundry and home care based on the trends likely to prevail in the year 2050.

The competition is conducted simultaneously in 14 European countries. The best national teams will be required to present their ideas to a jury comprised of senior Henkel managers at the beginning of 2011. The winning team from each country will then be invited by Henkel to the international final in Berlin scheduled for April 2011, where all contenders will have a chance to compare their abilities on an international level.

“Henkel Innovation Challenge” provides students with an opportunity to forge valuable ties with a major international employer. The competition also gives Henkel the chance to get to know top young talents from throughout Europe. Numerous participants from previous competitions have already been recruited by the company.

The registration period for the “Henkel Innovation Challenge” ends on December 13, 2010. There will be extensive coverage of the “Henkel Innovation Challenge” on the Internet.
