The Nike Zoom Vapor 9 Tour looks like more a running shoe, but with more strength and lockdown fit needed for the demands of tennis. The shoe is completely customizable due to the fit system that uses ‘fingers’ on the outside and a loop system on the inside. When the laces get cinched tight, the fingers mold to the shape of the individual foot. It makes the shoes ultimately comfortable, while a customized fit continues to adapt as the foot moves during a match.

Shoe is said to feel like gloves and a synthetic-leather quarter panel overlay adds to the firm fit. Lightweight and soft, designed with springy Lunar cushioning, the new shoe provides tennis players with exceptional comfort and protection. The TPU foot-frame from the mid-foot to the heel delivers more, while the mesh throughout the shoe helps keep the foot cool. Rubber overlays in high-wear areas improve durability.

“Nike Zoom Vapor 9 is a combination of a lot of hard work and team work between Roger Federer and our folks here. This shoe is the future of tennis,” said Hatfield who designed it using his iPad.

Nike has also opened an exclusive basketball court in New York City. As part of its #MakeItCount pro-social effort, Nike sponsored renovation of the crumbling gymnasium in a 1,100-residence coop building, the Masaryk. The building now has one of the greatest gyms available in a New York residential building. Currently, Nike runs a basketball-centered ‘The KobeSystem: Success for the Successful’ campaign.

Nike has recently unveiled its ‘Year of the Dragon 2012 collection’ of its iconic shoes designed in a ‘dragon’ style.
