Nike Encourages Its Fans to Run to People They Love

Nike has launched a new extension on its epic running story, which is revolving around jogging and people for whom is an essential part of their life. Following the series of spots with and about Alice, who is running all the time, the brand has released a 2:30 spot titled ‘I Would Run To You,’ a romantic story about two people in love, who live in different cities—she lives in California, he lives in New York—and run hundreds of miles to meet each other.  The Nike Free Run+ 3 sneakers help make the run less stressful for the feet.

In the spot, which was shot for 11 days in 5 states, the protagonists are singing a simple song to a catchy tune, and Nike hopes this song will become a real hit in the running community. The new video by W+K, which is created with a sweet and humorous twist, also features model and actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and skateboarder Theotis Beasley as cameos. The spot starts a “social media campaign that will challenge runners to test their strength by singing to a special ‘Nike Free Running Karaoke’ mix” that goes available this week and features the song ‘I Would Run to You,’ which can be downloaded by the Shazam app while watching on the spot.

According to the official Nike website, “the Nike Free Run+3 is part of a collection of Nike Free shoes which hit stores last week and includes Running, Women’s Training and Athletic Training footwear.” It also says that “Nike Free technology emulates natural motion by allowing the shoe to move with the body. Training in Nike Free footwear can help improve foot strength and flexibility, and balance.
