Nike Introduces Innovative Products for Athletes

Nike can’t stop innovate and improve the world of sport products and technologies. It has announced a series of lightweight performance products designed for the track and the basketball court.

The range of products was unveiled at a global event in New York City by Nike President & CEO Mark Parker and a team of acknowledged athletes that represent different sports art. The new products include:

Nike Flyknit, a running shoe engineered to be extremely light, formfitting and virtually seamless. It weighs only 160g. This is a 9,19% lighter than the Nike Zoom Streak 3, a shoe worn by the best place athletes in the men’s marathon at the 2011 World Championships. Nike Flyknit footwear will be available from July 27.

Based on wind tunnel data, the Nike Pro TurboSpeed suit is the lightest track uniform Nike has ever built. It is up to .023 seconds faster over 100m than Nike’s previous track uniform. The superior Nike AeroSwift technology was developed to meet the needs of the elite athletes. It will be used by athletes from the USA, Russia, Germany, and China for international team competitions.

Nike Zoom Superfly R4 and Nike Zoom Victory Elite spikes are designed to provide athletes with extra support and stability. It combines ultra-lightness with superior fit and foot protection.

The new Nike Hyper Elite basketball shorts and jerseys are also very light-weight. Jerseys are made of approximately 96% polyester fabric derived from recycled plastic bottles while the short is 100% recycled polyester fabric.

Nike Lunarlon is a part of a pack of four shoes representing Nike Lunarlon Collection. It’s a durable and breathable shoe made especially for elite basketball players. The Lunarlon Collection and Nike Basketball products will appear at retail beginning June 29.

Earlier this year, Nike also presented Nike Free Gym+ shoe and a new sole to be used with Össur’s Flex-Run prosthetic blade for amputee athletes.
