Just a couple of days before the Olympics start, Nike has rolled out a new film to inspire athletes and common people to find their greatness not only at competitions but in everyday life.

The film is a centerpiece of the ‘Find Your Greatness’ campaign, which is also runs on digital channels including YouTube and Twitter at #findgreatness hashtag allowing users to discuss the athletes and their greatness. The film will air on TV in 25 countries starting July 27.

The film shows international athletes training, playing and competing in London as well as in Little London, Jamaica and London, Ohio. The voiceover underlines that greatness is not something that only superstar athletes have, but it is what we can all achieve if we are persistent enough.

«The idea behind ‘Find Your Greatness’ is simply to inspire and energize everyday athletes everywhere to celebrate their achievements, participate and enjoy the thrill of achieving in sport at their own level,» said Greg Hoffman, Nike VP of Brand Design & Communications. «Nike’s co-founder Bill Bowerman said, ‘If you have a body you’re an athlete,’ and that’s a really compelling insight for all athletes as we celebrate great sporting moments this summer.»

Through this campaign Nike also promotes its technological products such as Nike+ Running, Nike+ Basketball, Nike+ Training and the Nike+ Fuelband. Using the Nike+ digital ecosystem, which has over 8.5 million members that share their achievements online, Nike is creating a series of tasks to motivate people to do more.  ‘Greatness is Ours’ mission is a task within the new campaign. It’s goal is to make August 12 the most active recorded day ever through Nike+.

Users’ achievements will be displayed on the Nike+ Fuelstream—an online stream of imagery and consumer comments. Nike will also encourage people to share their best on social channels at @nike, @niketraining, @nikerunning, @nikebasketball using the special hub at nike.com/gameonworld.
