Nike to Launch iDNation StyleLab

Nike loves innovation, both in technology and design fields, and is always here to engage its fans in creating something completely fresh. The brand, which has been allowing its consumers to customize their sportswear for quite a long time within its NikeID project, is about to continue to the new level by launching the iDNation, which is described as “a community for creative individuals to get inspired, customize, and make some fans.”

The launch of the new digital laboratory of design StyleLab is slated for late January. Nike is not disclosing all the details of the upcoming project, still it gives its creative consumers a sneak peek into what’s there in store by releasing a video, which promises hilarious experience to those who will join in. The voiceover says that Nike “got right colours, new textures and some sweet custom features.” The new system will allow to give a new twist to the iconic designs, share the updated versions with friends, plus get the customized designs ranked (and, probably, purchased) by other fans from all around the world.

So far, the brand is encouraging its fans to update Zoom Mogan Mid II iD, Zoom Primo iD as well as other shoes from the Nike footwear line by changing the colors of some elements of the sneaker. That’s really something that can help you boost your imagination by providing some basic changes to the shoe (think big, start small), and get ready to the launch of the Lab with a much wider range of features.

The new service for creative minds comes as part of initiatives presented by Nike 6.0, the footwear and apparel brand which “defines innovation and embodies the creativity of youth, united by action.” Recently, the brand has also launched a new hub, www.nike6.com/outerwear, which provides an insight into the new collections of the brand’s outerwear. The digital look-book also features interviews (and videos) with extreme sport athletes, who wear the gear.
