Nikon is ready to roll out the next ads in course of its ‘I Am’ campaign. The videos that have been produced in South America, will debut on TV, in print and outdoor media as well as online. The geographical scope of the campaign will include Europe, the U.K. and South Africa. The campaign will launch on April 14 and will last for one month.
Nikon ‘I am’ is a multi-platform advertising campaign aimed at supporting two new compact camera models: Nikon COOLPIX S3100 and S9100. With these products, the manufacturer strives to reach average users, not professional photographers. That’s why the main idea of the ads is to reveal the simple joy of photographing and depict the process of taking pictures as the way for people to exchange positive emotions in our everyday life. Life is full of notable moments and Nikon helps to capture and document them, so they will not pass unnoticed. These ideas are perfectly expressed by the headlines of the campaign: «I am more than words», «I am full of life».
According to www.brandrepublic.com, the agency behind the campaign is Jung von Matt Spree. The ad production was directed by Jess Bluck and photographed by Sven Jacobsen.
Birgitta Olson, general manager of marketing for Nikon Europe, comments on the campaign: “This latest iteration of the ‘I AM’ advertising campaign is our most personal yet, connecting on a more direct level with our audience over the feelings we all recognise around the art of photography. We hope it will be as well-received as the previous campaigns.”
