Nissan has teamed up with the Sport Illustrated magazine to compare its 2011 Juke model with a stunning bikini-clad lady in a series of tests. The four tongue-in-cheek spots feature a brand-new shiny red Juke competing with a model named Amber, wearing a swimsuit, and the point here evidently was not to determine the winner, but rather to enjoy the process.
The series of spots targeted at the male audience and developed by TBWA\Chiat\Day, USA, tests both models (the vehicle and the girl): the challenges revolve around acceleration, agility, aerodynamics and curb appeal, and the results of these unconventional test drives are really impressive. Since Nissan Juke has 188 horsepower, “muscular curvative” and 0.35 drag coefficient, while Amber has only 1.2 horsepower, “plenty of curvative” and 1.2 drag coefficient, it’s clear, which of them will prevail in this battle from a technical point of view, but does it really matter as long as one of the participants is a half-naked gorgeous lady?
The auto manufacturer also invites public to become members of the judging panel and decide which of the eight beauties will be feature in the SI 2012 magazine issue. In the sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2011_swimsuit/modelsearch/#/home section, they can see the female finalists (stills are made by photographer Walter Iloos, Jr.) and read short bios of the ladies. The winner of the Model Search Swimsuit 2011 presented by Nissan will be announced on 10 March. The brand also encourages voters to “click to find out who wins” by going below the line of girls and watching the four spots from the “Model vs. Model” campaign.
