Nissan Taps Ryan Reynolds for the ‘Innovation for Endurance’ Program

The greener lifestyle means choosing eco-friendly technology, protecting nature by using recyclable materials as well as being a health nut. In support of the Nissan LEAF, Nissan’s 100% electric automobile named the ‘2011 World Car of the Year,’ Nissan North America teamed up with Hollywood movie star Ryan Reynolds, who has joined a roster of elite fitness enthusiasts, athletes and coaches in the new integrated fitness-focused program dubbed ‘Innovation for Endurance.’

The initiative has been recently launched on Facebook—the hub features “exclusive, daily content showcasing the latest innovations in running, cycling, yoga, strength training, and general fitness.” Visitors to the page are also encouraged to enter the sweepstakes for a chance to win weekly prizes ranging from road bikes to glasses or a grand prize—Nissan LEAF. It also runs on www.tumblr.innovationforendurance.com.

The program also features a number of  elite fitness enthusiast, athletes and coaches, including Ryan Hall, Olympian and fastest American marathoner; Tara Stiles, author of Slim Calm Sexyand founder of ‘Strala Yoga’; Levi Leipheimer, elite cyclist and three-time Tour of California champion; and Chris Carmichael, founder and CEO of Carmichael Training Systems, Inc. and coach to Lance Armstrong.

The experts in the fitness, gear and health fields will share information and tips with the visitors to foster positive changes in everyday life.
