Nivea To Take the 2-day Sail Journey ‘Through a Century of Success’

As a part of the centenary anniversary campaign, Nivea, presenting the milestones and science behind the brand, took on May 9- May10 a two-day cruise, the NIVEA Skin Journey.

The journey ‘through time’ departed on May 9 from Hamburg, where guests on the ship were treated to an exclusive live performance by music icon Rihanna, announced on Popsop previously.

«We’re going to celebrate our centennial year by giving our guests the opportunity to experience how Nivea evolved from the first creme tin to the world’s largest skin care brand. Skin Journey guests will experience NIVEA’s competence in catering to different consumer skin care requirements and developing optimum skin care products for people in their local markets,» said Thomas-B. Quaas, Chief Executive Officer of Beiersdorf AG.

The Nivea Skin Journey ship features an historic exhibition of personal letters and photos from consumers, slide show images, famous TV and cinema commercials and a big touchscreen sphere which enables guests to interactively discover Nivea’s history. Relaxing spa treatments will be provided by the Nivea House personnel in special spa zones so that guests can experience the beneficial effects of Nivea products for themselves.

The Research & Development exhibition features state of the art measurement equipment, such as eye-wrinkle depth measurement devices, for guests to test out. Various Skin Workshops with international experts will provide background information on subjects such as the regeneration of the skin as we sleep and the functions of the natural coenzyme Q10.

A unique international psychological study, the Nivea Skin Survey, will also be presented on the Skin Journey. It reveals correlations between personality type and skin type. The Skin Survey provides key insights which will help the Nivea Research & Development teams to create innovative products that speak the language of skin.

Another exhibition shows the joint projects and initiatives of Nivea and Plan International according to the motto of ‘We care & connect’. Joachim Low, German national football team trainer and Nivea FOR MEN skin care coach in Germany is a supporter of this partnership and a Skin Journey guest.
