The chic socially-oriented Nokia Lumia 800 features a bold design  and offers Nokia’s best social and Internet experience, while the affordable Nokia Lumia 710 is called in a press release “a no-nonsense smartphone that brings the Lumia experience to more people around the world.”

Four other new phones include the Nokia Asha 300, 303, 200 and 201 models, which present a mix of smartphones and feature phones, offering QWERTY and touch screen experiences. All models allow fast Internet access and integrated social networking.

Lumia 800 has a 3.7 inch AMOLED ClearBlack curved display and a 1.4 GHz processor with hardware acceleration as well as a graphics processor. Carl Zeiss optics, HD video playback, 16GB of internal user memory and 25GB of free SkyDrive storage are also offered. All this is for an estimated retail price of circa 420 euro, excluding taxes and subsidies. In comparison with the latest Android- phones that have bigger display size, dual core chips and thinner design, Nokia Lumia 800 that rolls out on markets in the end of the year risks to disappoint media and customers, says Forbes.

Nokia Lumia 710 has a better chance to become a bestseller. Priced at approximately 270 euro, excluding taxes and subsidies it features the same 1.4 GHz processor, hardware acceleration and graphics processor.

Lumia 800 and Lumia 710 models are based on Windows Phone and feature Internet Explorer 9. Both smartphones include signature Nokia experiences optimized for Windows Phone, including Nokia Drive, which delivers a personal navigation device (PND) with free, turn-by-turn navigation and dedicated in-car-user-interface. Nokia Music is another feature that introduces an updated MixRadio, a free, global, mobile music-streaming application that delivers hundreds of channels of locally-relevant music. Both models are completed with Nokia Purity HD Stereo Headset by Monster and the in-ear Nokia Purity Stereo Headset by Monster, a leader in high performance audio.

Nokia Asha Series phones are even more affordable with prices ranging from approximately 60 euros to 115 euros. These colorful QWERTY models almost all of which are combined with a touch screen are designed to meet the needs of young, urban consumers who are crazy about social networking, fun games and music.

Now Nokia colaborates with Vision+, an independently-run investment fund, focused on financing innovative products.
