In 2011, a number of global market giants celebrated their anniversaries—Coca-Cola, Avon and Mercedes-Benz turned 125, Starbucks marked its 40th birthday and Nivea entered its centennial, with grandiose advertising campaigns and promotional efforts. This year, another cosmetics giant, Oriflame, is marking a milestone—the company, which now operates all around the globe, is celebrating its 45th year of presence on the market and launching the ‘45 Years of Fulfilling Dreams’ campaign dedicated to this occasion.

“Oriflame’s success is based on our ability to innovate and inspire consultants and customers. 2012 is no exception. We have strong product launches and we are planning for the future with our Sustainability measures, both when it comes to launching our most ethically and environmentally aware product range and in the steps we are taking for our planet, our people and our communities,” commented Oriflame’s CEO Magnus Brännström.
Oriflame, a major beauty company selling direct, launched the celebration with a conference (January 23-26) at its Diamond Conference in Rio de Janeiro with over 1,000 participants including Oriflame’s top leaders. The 45 Years of Fulfilling Dreams campaign will be running throughout the year with a series of landmark activities, but the most remarkable events are planned for this summer—one of them will be Gold Conference, at which 5,000 of Oriflame’s managers and leaders from around the globe will gather. The conference will be held in Stockholm, where the company was founded, in August.
“My brother Jonas and I dreamed of success and we’re overwhelmed when we look at the company’s achievements,” commented Oriflame co-founder Robert af Jochnick. “However, what really makes me happy is the lives we’ve helped change. Oriflame’s business opportunity has enabled so many people to fulfill their dreams—they’ve put their children through school, had the chance to become entrepreneurs and grow as individuals. This is such an inspiration to Jonas and me as we celebrate our 45th anniversary.”
