Pernod Ricard came up with a very cute contest to render support to young visual artists. The event will feature its famous Pernod Aux Plantes d’Absinthe Superieure brand and is going to provide artists with a nice amount of money as for the start – the winner will have $1,805, the one who takes the second place will get $500, and the third one will be awarded with $250.
The event to honour the winners will be arranged at the Armory Show, the annual international art fair, in New York City. The brand has always been a strong supporter of the art area since it very birth more than two centuries in France. It was one of the most favorite drinks of art gods like Picasso, Van Gogh and Monet. It is positioned as the product of the cultural elite.
To take part in the contest you should submit your original work with the date 1805, when the brand first appeared. Works in the following categories are accepted: painting, photography, video, digital/animation, illustration. The deadline is January 2010.
