PepsiCo is going to begin licensed production of “Privet” juices in Belarus. The brand will make the juice in Grodno through ODL «Firma» ABC» in compliance with all international quality requirements. At the first stage all the drinks will be made of the Belarusian products (fruit, vegetables and berries), and the greater part of the produced juice will be sold at the local market.
As for the present moment the Belarus company has Tetra Pak four lines, which allow to make 65,000 tonnes of juices every year and holds 6% of the total Belarusian juice market. In the company’s press-release it was noted that the license juice production was their first step to support the programs of import substitution in Belarus, one of the post-soviet countries.
