On 31 october 1837, two UK immigrants, a candlemaker William Procter and a soapmaker James Gamble, who seemed to be not very successful in their home country, founded a new business in Cincinnati, USA, and called it Procter and Gamble. 

Now, available in more than 180 countries, its powerful brands have been changing the quality of people’s lives providing them with everyday comfort for over 175 years.

However bold and innovative small challenger brands competing with P&G are, the company is still an unconventional leader in many industry segments worldwide.
