P&G Future Friendly yesterday, April 11, announced a national partnership with Recyclebank in the U.S. to reward people for taking everyday conservation actions. The partnership, which follows a successful collaboration between Future Friendly and Recyclebank in Cincinnati that enhanced the city’s recycling efforts, will help inspire residents nationwide to adopt recycling practices while rewarding households for reducing waste.
«P&G’s Future Friendly is based on the premise that if we all take small steps together, we can collectively create a meaningful, measurable benefit for the environment,» said Kirk Perry, Vice President, North America for P&G. «The Recyclebank partnership’s dual focus on educating the public and rewarding consumers for improving their environmental performance is a natural fit for Future Friendly’s core mission.»
Recyclebank motivates consumers to live more sustainable lifestyles—including increasing household recycling and reducing home energy usage—with Recyclebank Points that are redeemable for discounts and deals from more than 3,000 local and national businesses. The more everyday green actions one takes, the more Points one earns. In addition to sponsoring this national rewards platform, Future Friendly will also provide Recyclebank members with opportunities to earn points through online educational content via the Recyclebank Learn & Earn platform, highlighting methods to save energy, save water and reduce waste within their homes.
The partnership is the latest effort by P&G’s Future Friendly to educate the public and inspire people to take simple steps to help improve their environmental performance. Most recently, Future Friendly teamed with the National Geographic Society to launch Find Your Footprint, an in-school conservation education program developed to inspire students, families and schools to monitor and improve their environmental footprint.
