Red Bull commissioned 12 young Brazilian artists to add creative touch to one of the oldest skyscrapers in the country’s capital. The aspiring talents are transforming the space into Red Bull House of Art during two months— they were demonstrating their talents from September 12 till October 13 (that’s the first term) and are going to come back on November 3 to continue their work through December 18 (that’s the second one).

The artists were invited to revitalize two stores of the 90-year old Edificio Sampaio Moreira, which is the first skyscraper in São Paulo. The team of artists is supervised by Luisa Darte, art critic and independent curator, who oversees the creative process. Each of the participants has his or her own workshop, where they can create their bespoke works in the areas of photography, sculpture, video, painting, live performance and audio.

Some of the creations are already on display in special rooms for installations, projection rooms and exhibitions. They will also be unveiled in the lounge and an editing/internet rooms for people to come and see them the masterpieces for free. The first exhibition is running for more than a month, from October 25 until November 30. The results of the work will not be confined to the area of the building, as they are also taken out to the city—the detailed information along with photo reports is posted to the project’s page on Facebook (the photo album also features the previous collaborations).
