Robert Pattinson Inspired a Range of M&S’s Underwear

Marks and Spencer has been inspired by the way Robert Pattinson, one of the hottest movie hunks today, looks and created a line of male underwear, which is going to be on sale starting September. The R-Pant range features low-rise briefs and trunks and is to be launched to please the young audience on the whole and fans of the Twilight saga (where Robert stars as a romantic vampire) in particular.

«Over the last three years we’ve seen an increase in the popularity of hipsters. The new range is designed to appeal to a younger, fashion-savvy customer,” stated Richard Beale, head of merchandising at M&S. According to the chain, 25% of British men like to wear M&S pants, and as around a half of Generation Y love the Twilight saga (the box office proves it), the upcoming product may be highly rated by young British consumers.

The new collection comes as a nice addition to the portfolio of celebrity inspired underwear including those of Emporio Armani. The brand has been collaborating with famous people to promote its lines, both men and women, for years. Cristiano Ronaldo (who came in place of David Beckham in the campaign) and Megan Fox were among the ones, who agreed to be photographed for the Italian lines’ posters. The difference between these ranges and the one to be launched by M&S is that, according to Guardian, Pattinson is not going to appear on the promotional materials. So much the worse for him.
