Student Designers to Create the Environment for the Stella Artois World Draught Masters 2010

Stella Artois is challenging design students with a task to develop a range of the visual project related to the brand and its refined image. The new creative contest titled Design Competition 2010 Les Créateurs de Bbeauté, is running in one of the sections of the brand’s official website and is dedicated to the upcoming Stella Artois World Draught Masters, the global tournament of bartenders, to be held in London on October 28.

Ahead of the pouring competition, Stella Artois asked students of visual arts to come up with their own designs of clothing, glasses and machines for the event. The brand and its longstanding partner, advertising agency Mother , are inviting young creative minds to develop attire for the Créateurs de Beauté, or just bartenders (fashion design), a beer font or dispensing system  (industrial design), and a limited edition chalice glass (graphic design) to be featured at the festival. The participants are expected to draw the inspiration from the exquisite French 1960s cinema theme, which has been employed in the brand’s advertising and selected as the key one for the celebration.

The detailed brief for each of the categories can be found in the contest’s online hub. The woks should be submitted by September 15, and then they will be judged by a panel of experts from the related industries. On September 23, the juries will chose three winners to be awarded with €1,200 (£995) and two runner-ups of each category to receive €600.
