Google unveils its latest Chrome Experiment that gives any online destination a gaming touch. With World Wide Maze, any website in the Chrome browser can be turned into a 3D pinball maze, which pops-up on the screen of a desktop or a laptop. To navigate a virtual ball through the maze, one is asked to use a mobile device that works as a controller.

Google is planning to provide British news publishers with an opportunity to increase their online revenues. Last month, the company launched the Digital Publishing Innovation Fund in France, and now it is set to introduce a similar project to the UK. These perspectives were outlined by Google’s Executive Chairman Eric Schmidt during his recent interview at the Big Tent Activate Summit in New Delhi, India.

Google has launched a new project Art, Copy & Code, which aims to infuse advertisement of global brands with the latest digital technology. The new effort comes as a follow-up to the last year’s successful initiative Project Re: Brief that recreated some of the most iconic advertising campaigns of such brands as Volkswagen, Burberry and adidas, with innovative tech tools.

Yahoo.com has redesigned its homepage to make it more appealing to a new generation of the online audience. Thanks to the redesign, the oldest web portal got a simplified, crisper look as well as more social-media feel, which is believed to help the website deliver consistent user experience across desktop computers, laptops, tablets, and smartphones. So far, Yahoo has rolled out the new look only in the U.S.

In early February, General Electric invited American creators to share their groundbreaking ideas with the world in celebration of National Inventor’s Day that coincided with the greatest U.S. inventor, Thomas Edison’s, birthday on February 11. The company teamed up with the BuzzFeed website and launched a social-media campaign #IWantToInvent on Twitter to collected revolutionary ideas submitted by public.

The social media giant launches Developers Live, a Facebook app, which provides valuable curated content (tutorials, live and recorded speaking sessions and other visual educational pieces) and also helps them keep up to date on the latest Facebook news. The new hub targets mobile and game app developers as well as website managers and publishers, who will learn how to make a better content for the web and how to use the platform to maximize their profits.
