Coffee makes you feel full of energy, humor does the same. Basing on this fact, Starbucks-owned Seattle’s Best Coffee is kicking off a unique project dubbed ‘Declare Your Level Show’ on Facebook to promote The Level System of coffee blends, introduced in late 2010, and engage the users in creating comedy content together with celebrated improv troupe Second City. The project, which will be launched on April 13 at 1 p.m. Eastern, will see twenty-one trope’s actors and five directors improvising live using the content provided by the audience.

Yesterday, April 07, Facebook unveiled a new behind-the-scenes data server technology to the plethora of IT industry insiders at their headquarters in Palo Alto. According to mashable.com, at the press event dedicated to the launch of the project, executives from DreamWorks, VMWare, Fidelity, Delta, Dell, Apple and AMD got together to see the newest initiative by Facebook. Finally, Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook’s CEO, has introduced a new ‘technological initiative’ by the brand entitled Opencompute Project.

The Fast Company magazine presents its new rating of the 50 most innovative companies in the world. In mid-February, they published the 2011 list, giving short descriptions to their picks. Apple scoops first place, pushing the digital giants Twitter, Facebook and Google to the 2nd, 3rd and 6th place correspondingly—with Intel, Microsoft, Linkedin,eBay, IBM and Cisco resting below them. Recently, Porsche has presented its 911 GT3 R Hybrid model adorned with the signatures of more than 27,000 Porsche followers to mark the brand’s reaching the landmark of 1 million fans on Facebook. On the occasion of getting 1, 000,000 ‘likes’ on the most popular social media website, Heineken created a light-hearted projects with beautiful models dressed in tees featuring a branded FB ‘like’ icon—a hand, holding a green bottle of beer.

The Porsche fan community on Facebook reached a magical milestone at the turn of the year when Porsche added its one-millionth fan on Facebook, one of the largest and most popular social networks on the Internet. Reason enough for Porsche to thank its fans with a special exhibition showcasing a unique custom-made vehicle: on February 11, the Porsche museum presented a Porsche 911 GT3 R Hybrid adorned with the signatures of more than 27,000 Porsche fans. The automobile will be on display for over a week, untill February 20. 

UK-based Fairtrade Foundation announced it would be running Fairtrade Fortnight between 28 February and 13 March. Fairtrade Fortnight is the annual event organized by the Foundation in an effort to promote all kinds of assistance it provides to people in developing countries. This year’s event is dedicated to cotton industry and millions of cotton growers.
