The professional network LinkedIn, which has 150 million members worldwide, finally gets an iPad application, which allows users to check the news, keep up-to-date with groups, get business intelligence and insights, links and job offers now from their Apple tablet as well. The company upgraded their iPhone, Android and Mobile Web products last August, and now it was time to provide iPad users with a dedicated app. “Imagine having one place where you can get all the info you need about who you’re meeting with that day, trending and timely news that is impacting your industry, who’s changed jobs and what your coworkers are sharing, liking, and commenting on. We’ve pulled all this for you, all in one place,” says the official LinkedIn blog.
The long-awaited could platform Google Drive has been finally launched. Now, Google users can store up to 5 GB of data online totally free of charge and can get even five times more by paying a modest price (or receive even more space for more money). The new storage space allows users to upload data in various formats (PDF, images, Google Docs, video files and many more), get instant access to their ‘treasure box’ whenever they need it and also share the data with friends and open documents, spreadsheets, presentations, etc. to colleagues when collaborating on a project. People who view the files can edit or leave a comment on the shared item, and the user can reply to them as well.
Intel Corporation has unveiled its first smartphone with Intel inside. Though it was announced earlier this year that the first Intel-based smartphone will be produced by Lenovo and Motorola for Chinese market, it turned out to be different.
