TerraCycle, a huge recycling company, wants to turn used Huggies diapers, Scott toilet paper and Kleenex tissue into goods with the help of Kimberly-Clark company. The things that have already become garbage will be needed again: they are going to undergo rebirth and become diaper bags, tote bags, etc.
The revenues from the production will go to schools, nonprofit organizations and charities. Dirty things like towels, napkins, diapers, bath tissues and moist wipes will give life to a new generation of useful products. They are not trash any more, now they are a valuable resource.
But not only personal hygiene items are going to be used as the basis for new things. The company has lately came up with this idea to Kraft Foods UK. They decided to turn Kenco product packaging into lovely frames, book covers and satchels. The company also wants to turn Kleenex packaging waste into desktop organizers, but it’s not settled yet.
The products made from recycled things will be sold next year at Walmart and Target supermarkets.
And now watch a nice ad of Kleenex, one of TerraCycle’s future partners.
