Luxury fashion brand Miu Miu presents series of short movies by female film makers dubbed ‘The Miu Miu Womens’ Tales’ . The first video that marks the launch of the series—’The Powder Room’—is created by Hollywood film director and actress Zoe Cassavetes and featuring such top models as Audrey Marnay, Line Gost, Caroline de Maigret, and Sophie Vlaming.

This dramatic movie is set in London’s posh Claridges hotel and sees 3 beautifully-dressed women carefully watching each other as they come into the powder room. This piece takes us into an ultra-feminine environment where gestures between women are traded in a ritual of opulent beauty. The action is filled with stunning models, smoky eyes, elegant shoes and dresses.
«I love the idea of the powder room, the ritual that takes place within them is very important for women,» says Cassavetes. «There’s something special about preparing yourself, a moment before the action takes place. I love the sense of intimacy. It’s a place away from men, where you can check out other women, and reglamorize yourself ready to face the world again.»
