H&M, which is well-known for its successful collaboration with global design icons, is launching a new collection created for the retailer by Versace. To develop the new range, the brand’s creative director Donatella Versace looked back at the fashion house’s legacy and recreated the brand’s classical styles, such as the bright prints, the Greek key and daring cuts, which actually made the house famous all around the globe. The new collection includes both apparel and special homeware pieces, which will go on sale starting November 17, both in 300 stores around the globe and online.

The new collection—men’s, women’s, accessories and pieces for home—comes as tribute to the fashion house’s great impact on modern culture, and, as it was mentioned above, it incorporates the iconic features of the Versace brand: Grecian motives, shining fabric, the archival Versace prints and more. The iconic patterns appear on dresses, short pleat skirts, velvet bomber jackets, leggings and jeans in the women’s collection and on leather jackets decorated with gold studs and zips and T-shirts with extravagant patterns in the men’s one. In the new range, one will also find metallic wing-tips on the collars. As to the homeware, the range also includes “pillows and the bedspread resplendent in the multicolour floral Japanese fan print, bringing the complete Versace lifestyle to H&M,” says the press release.
“Versace’s collection for H&M is a moment in fashion. It is full of strong pieces that stand out, with colours, prints and cuts that are clean and precise. The women’s collection is flattering and full of dresses, while the men’s collection is very sophisticated. When I think about Versace I think of iconic items. With this collection for H&M we’ve got the essence of Versace,” said Margareta van den Bosch, creative advisor at H&M.
