Slimane’s first spring/summer 2013 collection will debut under the new name. The font and nomenclature stay the same, dating back to the time when it was first used in 1966. The brand’s logo will also remain the same.
WWD reports that a spokesperson for the label said that Slimane will use the house’s «original branding» in order to restore «the house to its truth, purity and essence and taking it into a new era, while respecting the original principles and ideals».
Slimane’s debut pre spring/summer 2013 collection will be presented to a small group of buyers only, while his first catwalk show will be unveiled during Paris Fashion Week, which starts on September 25.
