Absolut Vodka, the brand which is well-known for its supporting all kinds of non-standard creativeness, is now arranging the Absolut Gay Theatre Festival Dublin. The event is to develop all forms of gay theatre and help to promote new plays on gay-theme. The unique festival will give a nod to all artists who helped to build the gay theatre and will look for young talents home and abroad.

The festival will have volunteering professionals as trainers and see lots of performances. Absolut guarantees that all the artists will be provided with free accommodation and get support to show their skills and talent. The festival will feature works by gay authors, that have a gay character, theme or relevance, or that focus on issues of interest like feminism, masculinity or gender identity.

The selected participants will present a maximum 5 minute piece from their works in the Gala Night Concert on 16th May 2010. The festival will be running May 3 — May 16.
