adidas is to launch the second edition of its Rockstars initiative, this time at the Porsche Arena in Stuttgart/Germany on August 10 and 11.

The company will invite such international bouldering and sport climbing stars as the last year’s winner Dmitry Sharafutdinov (RUS), the reigning Overall World Champion Sasha DiGiulian (USA), the two-times Boulder Overall World Cup Champion Akiyo Noguchi (JPN) and other elite top athletes totaling in seventy persons, both men and women.

First, the athletes will compete to enter the semi-final of the top 20, and then battle for one of the six places in the final. Both two best women and men will be selected from the six during the final and in the super final one winner will emerge in both groups. A live band will be performing during the competition to motivate athletes and add more drive to the show.

Amateurs are also invited to show off their skills in bouldering by submitting at at www.adidas-rockstars.com. A maximum of 100 participants will be able to boulder accompanied by DJs to win an invitation to the main event.
