Beefeater Invites Consumers to Redesign Its Classic Bottle for a Special Edition

For the launch of a unique special edition of Beefeater London Dry Gin in Sweden, Beefeater invites the Swedish consumers to show off their creativity and love for London by entering a cocktail and design competition for the new Beefeater bottle.

Stockholm is known to be the second most creative city in Europe and Beefeater encourages the best of cocktail creation and bottle design in the Stockholm-London creative challenge. The competition is running until January 31, 2012 (the submission deadline is January 15, 2012).

Sweden is in the front line when it comes to design, creativity and innovative ideas. When the opportunity now came to present a special edition and unique version of our classic Beefeater ”London-brick” bottle we wanted to bring out all of this creativity and give the Swedes a chance to be a part of the process”, says Rai Fierro, Brand Manager Beefeater Sweden.

The competition running at Facebook.com/BeefeaterCreative is split into two categories—design and cocktail. In each category, one winner will be chosen and invited to London to create the design and the cocktail for the special edition together with the Beefeater international team. The bottle design and the chosen cocktail will be arrive at select restaurants and bars in Stockholm in 2012.

In the design category, consumers are expected to demonstrate their creative skills and give an interpretation of what the modern, creative London looks like by designing a new label for the classic London brick bottle.

London is well known for innovative bars where Beefeater London Dry Gin has been a regular behind the counter. In the cocktail category, entrants are expected to show their knowledge of cocktails show what London is to them.
