Blue Marlin Revitalises Purdey’s, the Classic Wellbeing Drink

Purdey’s, the original rejuvenating drink, has been updated and enhanced with stylish, contemporary new packaging by brand design specialists Blue Marlin. The new look is just beginning to roll out. The sumptuously detailed new design befits Purdey’s status as a classic premium drink and explains the brand’s mission and beliefs. It also signals the determination of brand owner Britvic Soft Drinks to bring this pioneering product to greater prominence.

Originally launched in 1992, Purdey’s was ahead of its time. It delivers a gentle lift through a combination of B vitamins that helps to release energy and it soon carved out a distinctive market positioning and gained a loyal, if relatively small following. Its proposition is even more relevant today than it was at launch and Britvic, which bought the brand in 2002, is ready to spread the word—particularly to shoppers on the go.

Purdey’s offers a unique combination of ingredients to invigorate the body and revitalise the mind. The drink is made up of fruit juice, spring water, vitamins and botanical extracts to create an elixir for modern life. It is ideal for today’s busy consumer looking for a refreshing and rejuvenating drink to help them stay on top of their game. Simon Pendry, Blue Marlin London creative director comments, “The new design tells the brand story and explains its ethos through both illustration and back and front of pack copy. It is sophisticated and engaging and a little intriguing. For instance, some of the drawings are numbered with a key on the back explaining that it contains vitamin C and counts as one of your five a day.”
