Diageo’s Bulleit Bourbon and Leo Burnett Sydney have created a 90-second cinematographic commercial called ‘It’s a Long Story’ to run during the screening of ‘The Dark Knight Rises’.

The film tells viewers the story of Bulleit Bourbon in a noir western style, which was developed by Resolution Design. The film features a legendary character, Augustus Bulleit who tries to protect his secret batch whisky recipe from a gang of criminals. According to the brand legend, Augustus Bulleit disappeared without a trace and 150 years later his great-great-grandson Tom Bulleit revived the family business using the same recipe.
Due to the recipe and the process of aging in barrels made of charred American oak Bulleit Bourbon is smooth and clear. ‘When legends die, spirits remain’ is the slogan of the new campaign.

It took two months for the Resolution Design team to create the film using all possible media—live-action shoot, photography, 2D & 3D animation, character design and multi layered composites, says Campaign Brief.
