Cara Delevingne Strips Down for the Marc Jacobs Skin Cancer Awareness T-Shirts

The fashion brand Marc Jacobs continues its famous line of “Skin Tees,” dedicated to raising awareness about skin cancer, with a green 100% cotton T-shirt featuring nude British actress, model and celebrity Cara Delevingne. The print features the 20-year-old diva standing next to the message that reads “Protect the Skin You’re In.”

The campaign was started back in 2006 by Jacobs and his long-time business partner Robert Duffy, who has been previously diagnosed with melanoma, as an attempt to generate funds for the New York University Skin Cancer Institute. For the past 7 years, over 40+ high-profile fashion models and celebrities have joined the campaign, including Kate Moss, Victoria Beckham, Rufus Wainwright, Eva Mendes, Bar Refaeli, Heidi Klum, Naomi Campbell, Dita Von Teese and Miranda Kerr to name but a few. All of them posed for the tees prints completely nude.

Their participation helped the initiative to raise more than $400,000. The brand hopes the T-shirt with Cara will help generate another big sum for the good cause. The piece can be purchased at the Marc Jacobs Collection shop on Mayfair’s Mount Street or on marcjacobs.com for a bargain price of £23 ($35). All proceeds from sales of the T-shirt will be donated to the Skin Cancer Institute.

Marc Jacobs has also launched a Facebook and Tumblr pages with more information about the project and photos with fans wearing the “Skin Tees.”
