Coke’s touchbearers will carry the Olympic Flame and Spirit

Today, on October 30th the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Torch Relay will begin in Victoria, BC and race its way through Canada. For over three months, 12000 touchbearers will carry the Olympic Flame on its 45 000 km journey through over 1000 Canadian communities. Coca-Cola’s team of 20 entusiasts will also be represented among other honored touchbearers. The Vancouver 2010 Olympic Torch Relay will be the longest relay held by a single country in the history of the Olympic Games.

All touchbearer from Coke were nominated for being champions of positive living in their communities. Coca-Cola is proud to announce the touchbearers and thank the Live Positively community for all the nominations. They will be passed on the Olympic Flame at night on 19 Jan 2010. The Coca-Cola representatives include 10 teenagers, 5 managers from international healthcare companies, 3 employees of Coca-Cola North America and the Olympic champions Shawn Johnson and Steven Lopez.
